UNLV students play an essential role in philanthropy on campus. Listed below are ways current students and Alumni can show their Rebel pride as a part of fund-raising efforts on and off campus:
Student Life
UNLV students dedicate their time volunteering on campus and in the Las Vegas community. Many of these students learn about community service programs through the Department of Student Involvement and Activities, which has many opportunities to meet new people and build leadership skills.
Rebel Ring Phonathon Program
Each year, dozens of UNLV students call alumni, parents, and friends to share campus news and ask for their support of programs across campus. Paid positions are available in fall and spring — it’s a great way to add to your resume, meet new friends, and have an on-campus part-time position that is flexible with your class schedule. Please contact Michael Richmond by e-mail or at (702) 895-2827.
UNLV License Plates
Rebel Pride license plates support athletics and the Alumni Association scholarship endowments — since its introduction in 1998, the program has raised nearly $325,000 to support students. Visit the Nevada DMV site for more information or download the application here.
Annual Giving
Students often find the most innovative ways to support their campus. Every year, students honor friends or loved ones with tributes or memorial gifts to the UNLV Libraries, support scholarships, or make outright gifts to help where the need is greatest through UNLV’s Annual Giving programs. UNLV is state-assisted, not state-funded. In fact, the state provides just 15 percent of the university’s total funding. As a result, every dollar helps UNLV offer quality programs that are student-centered, demonstrably excellent, and responsive to the needs of our community.
